Purple, the most fringe color on the visible light spectrum, is the same as other colors. Although it is only a certain spectrum segment, it is endowed with much meaning in culture. 

In ancient China, and some other traditional cultures, purple represented dignity, and it was also a color widely used in religion, associating it with the sublime. 

On the other hand, in traditional Chinese culture, purple is sometimes a symbol of evil. In some recent film and television works in recent years, purple is often used as the color of the villain. Here, purple again represents fear. In the end, fear and the sublime may be precisely the same thing. It is fascinating why do humans have these common emotional reactions to colors in different cultures?

The story told by humans is often very complicated, but most of the time, it is only a word, and it is only a number on the spectrum: 380-450nm, and it is only a file in a USB.

紫色，可见光光谱上最边缘的一个颜色，和其他颜色一样，物理上虽然只是光谱上的某一段，却在文化中被赋予了很多意义。在中国古代，和其他某些传统文化中紫色都代表了尊贵，也是在宗教中被广泛运用的一个颜色。这大概是因为人们赋予了紫色一种崇高感。而另一方面，在中国传统文化里，紫色有时候又是邪恶的象征。近些年一些影视作品中，紫色也往往被用作是反派的颜色。在这里，紫色又代表了恐惧。其实恐惧与崇高，可能恰恰是一体同宗的东西。很有意思的是，在不同文化里为什么人类会对颜色有这些互相呼应却有矛盾的情绪反应？
同时在该作品中，观众可以听到两段环境音，一段是工厂里的环境音，其中穿插了几段雨林昆虫的音轨，另一段是森林中的环境音，中间又穿插了几段合成器的音轨。观众身处其中，其实并不会听得太真切，掩没在机器声中虫鸣和掩没在虫鸣声中的人工合成器音乐，看似不可共存，却在这件作品中融合在了一起。工厂里也有绿化，森林里也有伐木工，人类大概就是这么擅长融合矛盾的事物吧！

人类诉说故事往往很复杂，但是其实也不过是一个字，也不过是光谱上的一段数字：380-450nm，也不过是U盘里的一个文件。
